The FFF network was founded on 28 February 2024 by Prof. Dr. Stefanie Frisch (Goethe University Frankfurt) and Jun.-Prof. Dr. Julia Reckermann (University of Münster).
It consists of a group of researchers from Germany, Austria and Switzerland who are engaged in research on early foreign language learning in schools.
The members see foreign language learning as part of basic education. Foreign language teaching in primary schools is so important for the education and upbringing of future generations and for the common good in Germany, Austria and Switzerland that it should be firmly established in primary schools, ideally from Year 1 onwards.
