Die regelmäßige wöchentliche Arbeitszeit beträgt zurzeit 29 Stunden und 53 Minuten. Die Stelle ist zunächst auf drei Jahre befristet. Die Möglichkeit einer befristeten Verlängerung im Rahmen des Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetzes besteht.

Zu den Dienstaufgaben gehören:

• Unterstützung bei der Beratung, Koordination und dem Studiengangmanagement für die internationalen Studienprogramme in Kooperation mit der Universität Twente (Niederlande)
• Unterstützung bei der Durchführung von Anerkennungs- und Einstufungsverfahren in den Kooperationsstudiengängen des Instituts
• Lehrtätigkeit im Fach Politikwissenschaft (derzeit im Umfang von 3 Semesterwochenstunden)
• Unterstützung der Studiengangsleitung in Angelegenheiten der Verwaltung, Fortentwicklung und (Re-)Akkreditierung des Studiengangs
• Durchführung von eigener Forschung zum Zwecke der Promotion im Fach Politikwissenschaft.

Für das Forschungsprojekt MORE sucht die SWP zum 01.01.2016 eine/n auf 2 Jahre befristete/n wissenschaftliche/n Mitarbeiter/in (Vollzeit).

MORE (Modelling and mapping the risk of Serious and Organised Crime infiltration in legitimate businesses across European territories and sectors) ist ein durch die EU gefördertes, transnationales, interdisziplinäres Forschungsprojekt. Ziel des Projektes ist die Erstellung eines Risk Assessment Modells, zu der die SWP (vorbehaltlich der endgültigen Bewilligung) neben konzeptionellen Beiträgen durch Datensammlung und Fallstudien in Mitteleuropa, insbesondere Deutschland, sowie die Ausarbeitung und Anwendung des Modells beiträgt.

Folgende Stelle ist zu besetzen: Im Fachbereich Gesellschaftswissenschaften - Fachgebiet Internationale und intergesellschaftliche Beziehungen (Prof. Dr. Hans-Jürgen Burchardt) ist zum 01.03.2016 folgende Stelle zu besetzen:

Wiss. Mitarbeiter/-in (EG 13 TV-H) Internationale Politik mit Schwerpunkt Nord-Süd-Beziehungen Teilzeit mit der Hälfte der regelmäßigen Arbeitszeit einer/eines Vollbeschäftigten; befristet für zunächst 3 Jahre mit der Möglichkeit der Verlängerung um
weitere 2 Jahre (Qualifikationsstelle gem. § 65 HHG i. V. m. § 2 Abs. 1 Satz 1 WissZeitVG; Promotionsmöglichkeit).

Aufgabenprofil:

• Wissenschaftliche Dienstleistungen in Lehre und Forschung auf dem Gebiet der
  internationalen Politik mit Schwerpunkt Nord-Süd-Beziehungen/ Lateinamerika.
• Übernahme von Aufgaben des Wissenschaftsmanagement am Fachgebiet, Teilnahme
  an der akademischen Selbstverwaltung, Lehre in deutscher und ggf. englischer Sprache.

Erwartet werden:

• Ein mit Exzellenz abgeschlossenes wissenschaftliches Universitätsstudium mit gesellschaftswissenschaftlichem Schwerpunkt und internationalem Fokus,
• Sichere Beherrschung der spanischen und englischen Sprache,
• Interesse an Teamarbeit,

Von Vorteil sind:

In der Fakultät für Bildungswissenschaften der Universität Duisburg-Essen ist zum 01.04.2016 eine Universitätsprofessur (BesGr. W 2) für
"Politikwissenschaft, insbesondere Sozialpolitik" zu besetzen.

Die Bewerberin bzw. der Bewerber vertritt das Fach in Forschung und Lehre. Das regelmäßige Lehrdeputat umfasst 9 SWS und wird vorrangig in den Studiengängen der Sozialen Arbeit erbracht.

The position combines teaching (60%) and research (40%) in the field of International Relations, with an emphasis on issue areas and theories related to Security Studies. In teaching, candidates are expected to provide BA- and MA-level courses, as well as support PhD supervision. Depending on disciplinary background, candidates must be able to contribute to basic introductory courses in areas such as IR theory, history of international relations, international organization, and/or social science research methodologies; as well as specialized courses related to their own research interests. The supervision of students will play an important part in the position. Participation in managerial committees related to the organization of the degree programmes or research grant applications will be expected. In research the candidate is expected to develop her/his own research projects (both individually and in small teams). The chair group wants to strengthen its research in the areas of critical geopolitics and politics of infrastructure (including issue areas like urban security, energy security and health security). Expertise in any of these fields is welcomed.

The position is in 20th and 21st century International Relations (all subfields are welcome, including International History and International Politics). While we welcome a regional specialisation in Asia, Eastern Europe, or the Middle East, the post holder may research on any sub specialisms, and the determining factor will be the candidate's research and teaching profile. The ability to think and work in an interdisciplinary manner will be considered an advantage.

We are seeking a motivated and talented individual on a temporary basis, who will make a significant contribution to the group's teaching requirements. This post is offered at 0.6 FTE. While the details of the teaching responsibilities will be negotiated on appointment, the successful candidate will most likely to undergraduate teaching, especially in the first and second years, including assisting in the delivery of introductory modules in Politics and International Relations, and also providing support to students in developing their study skills.

Candidates are expected to be able to teach courses in international political economy or global governance, as well as general courses in international relations at the level of BSc, MSc and Research MSc, to supervise undergraduate and graduate theses in these fields, to seek external research funding, and to undertake and publish research in international refereed publications. Candidates are also expected to participate in the Institute’s intellectual life and administrative tasks.

The Department of Politics is looking for a committed and talented academic to join our team for a period of three years. For this appointment we are not specifying a particular research expertise within Politics but all candidates should be aware that they will be required to convene and teach undergraduate and postgraduate modules on the European Union. This is a fractional lectureship (0.5 FTE) and we welcome applications from all qualified candidates, including academics in the final stage of their PhD or those returning to an academic job after a career break and wishing to further develop their academic career. You will carry out teaching and research, significantly contributing to the Department's Masters and PhD degree programmes and to the Department's activities more broadly. You should have an emerging publication record of the highest international standards in terms of originality, rigour and significance. As well as teaching experience at postgraduate level in the above areas you should have a completed PhD in the social sciences, humanities or related disciplines. You will contribute actively to the life of the Gender Institute, enjoy working as part of a team, and possess the ability to adapt to its varying demands.

Applications are invited for positions in the Department of China Studies at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU). Successful applicants will have, or expect shortly to receive, a PhD, or be able to demonstrate appropriate professional experience (e.g. substantial teaching/industrial experience). Applicants should have good teaching experience and evidence of the ability to produce high quality research publications. Applicants are expected to have good language skills in both English and Chinese, and be able to teach in English, the language of instruction at the university. The successful appointee will be expected to teach PhD China Studies/International Relations/Politics.

The ideal candidate will be expected to teach introductory and advanced undergraduate courses in international relations and global public policy with a load of three courses per semester. Ability to teach classes in American politics and foreign policy is an asset.

The Department of Political Science at the National University of Singapore invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor or lecturer in the field of Comparative Politics or International Relations. Tenure-track applicants should have completed a PhD in Political Science, International Relations, or cognate discipline. Applicants should have demonstrated excellent or commensurate potential in research, as well as strong theoretical interests Applicants for the lectureship should have strong teaching skills. Other qualifications might include experience in senior levels of government, military, business, or professional life in Singapore. The successful applicant is expected to contribute significantly to the research agenda of CENS and may be expected to teach at the postgraduate level as well.

Areas of interest include but are not limited to:

• causes and early warning indicators of violent extremism
• counter-radicalisation strategies and policies
• global best practices in detainee rehabilitation
• identity politics and violent extremism
• the Internet and violent extremism

Demonstrated familiarity with the Southeast Asian theatre in particular will be considered as a plus point.

The successful candidate should possess a PhD in a relevant field or have substantial relevant working experience.
