Fragen der Globalisierung betreffen mittlerweile alle Bereiche des gesellschaftlichen Lebens, nicht nur der Politik, Wirtschaft oder Finanzindustrie. Auch Populärkulturen und die Künste stehen in weltweiten, medial vermittelten Austauschprozessen. Im Zuge dieser Bewegung werden sowohl Anschlüsse als auch Ausschlüsse produziert; entsprechend kontrovers wird das Thema diskutiert. Mit welchen Methoden lassen sich diese geographisch entgrenzten und hochdynamischen Prozesse begreifen? Mit welchen Strategien und im Hinblick auf welche Zukünfte gibt es Eingriffsmöglichkeiten? Die Vielfalt wissenschaftlicher Ansätze, die für solche Fragen relevant sind, erlauben diverse Zugänge. Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler sowohl der Politologie, Soziologie, Ethnologie wie auch der allgemeinen vergleichenden Geschichtswissenschaften mit entsprechendem Forschungsprofil sind aufgerufen, sich zu bewerben. Gesucht wird eine vielseitig interessierte Person, die wissenschaftlich ausgewiesen ist und ihre Arbeit zur Globalisierung in einen analytisch- kritischen Zusammenhang mit künstlerischen und politischen Praktiken zu stellen vermag. Promotion und Habilitation (bzw. habilitationsäquivalente Leistungen) werden vorausgesetzt.

Das WZB sucht für die Projektgruppe Politikfeld Internet (Leitung: Professor Jeanette Hofmann) im Forschungsschwerpunkt Internationale Politik und Recht eine studentische Hilfskraft mit bis zu 19 Wochenstunden (mindestens 15) möglichst ab dem 1. Oktober 2017 (alternativ zum 15. Oktober) für die Dauer von zunächst 12 Monaten (Verlängerung ist möglich) zur Unterstützung der wissenschaftlichen Mitarbeiter*innen der Projektgruppe. Die Forschungsarbeiten der Projektgruppe untersuchen die Entstehung eines Politikfelds Internet und seine Auswirkungen auf Politik und Gesellschaft.

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral Research Associate in Energy Policy to support a major new EU H2020-funded project called INNOPATHS, led by Prof. Laura Diaz Anadon, Professor of Climate Change Policy at the Department of Land Economy.

INNOPATHS has top EU partners and Prof. Anadon is the Principal Investigator (PI) of the Cambridge portion of this major project.
