Ihr Profil:

Das Leibniz-Institut Hessische Stiftung Friedens- und Konflikt­forschung ist eine Stiftung öffentlichen Rechts und Mitglied der Leibniz-Gemeinschaft. Mit über 90 Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeitern und sechs Programm­bereichen ist die HSFK derzeit das größte deutsche Friedens- und Konfliktforschungs­institut.

Für ein Forschungsvorhaben im Bereich Radikalisierungs- und Deradikalisierungsforschung in Deutschland suchen wir – vorbehaltlich der finalen Förderentscheidung – zum 1.3.2017 befristet bis zum 31.8.2018 eine/n Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin / Wissenschaftlichen Mitarbeiter (Vollzeit, TV-H 13, befristet nach WissZVG)

Zum Aufgabenspektrum gehören insbesondere:

• Koordinationsaufgaben innerhalb des Forschungsverbundes,
• insbesondere des Phänomenbereichs religiöse Radikalisierung,
• Koordination eines Forschungsmoduls zur Radikalisierung der Gesellschaft,
• Mitarbeit bei der Editierung verschiedener Publikationsformate,
• Mitarbeit bei verschiedenen Formaten des Wissenstransfers.

Sie sollten folgende Voraussetzungen erfüllen:

• überdurchschnittlich abgeschlossenes Hochschul­studium (Promotion erwünscht),
• einschlägige Forschungs- und Publikations­erfahrung im Bereich gesellschaftlicher Rahmen­bedingungen von Radikalisierung von Individuen und Gruppen entweder im religiösen oder im politischen Spektrum (vorzugsweise von salafistisch-dschihadistischen Gruppen),
• gute Vernetzung in einschlägigen nationalen wie internationalen Forschungsnetzwerken,
• Kompetenzen im wissenschaftlichen Projekt­management,
• überdurchschnittliche Organisations- und Problemlösungs­fähigkeiten,
• Kommunikations­geschick für die Arbeit an den Schnittstellen von Wissenschaft, Politik und Medien.
• Exzellente mündliche und schriftliche Kenntnisse der deutschen und englischen Sprache sowie den sicheren Umgang mit gängiger Bürosoftware setzen wir voraus.

Innerhalb des Fachbereichs "Staats- und Gesellschaftswissenschaften" der ZU ist zum nächstmöglichen Termin der Lehrstuhl für Internationale Beziehungen zu besetzen.

Der/Die zukünftige Stelleninhaber/-in soll das Fachgebiet der Internationalen Beziehungen in der Lehre in seiner gesamten Breite vertreten, insbesondere die theoretischen Grundlagen der internationalen Beziehungen. Schwerpunkte in der Forschung können z.B. in den Bereichen Friedens- und Konfliktforschung oder supra- und internationale Institutionen oder Regieren jenseits des Nationalstaates liegen.

Die Bewerberinnen und Bewerber sollen eine herausragend profilierte Forschungstätigkeit aufweisen, z.B. in Form von internationalen Publikationen oder der erfolgreichen Einwerbung von Drittmitteln. Darüber hinaus wird eine exzellente didaktische Kompetenz erwartet sowie die Bereitschaft zur Übernahme anspruchsvoller, auch englischsprachiger Lehrveranstaltungen im Rahmen der Bachelor- und Masterstudiengänge sowie gegebenenfalls für Weiterbildungsprogramme. Erwünscht wird ebenfalls ein Interesse an interdisziplinärer Forschung und Mitwirkung in der Einwerbung wettbewerblicher Drittmittel für Forschungsprojekte. Die Deutsche Gesellschaft für Auswärtige Politik (DGAP) schreibt zum 01.02.2017 zunächst befristet bis zum 31.12.2017 eine Stelle aus als wissenschaftliche(r) Mitarbeiter/in mit Forschungs- und Arbeitsschwerpunkt Mittelosteuropa, 80%, angelehnt an TVöD 13.

Die Deutsche Gesellschaft für Auswärtige Politik (DGAP) als Think Tank und nationales Netzwerk für Außenpolitik fördert seit über 60 Jahren die außenpolitische Analyse und Meinungsbildung in Deutschland. Das Forschungsinstitut der DGAP versteht sich als Berater, Netzwerker und Impulsgeber der operativen Außenpolitik an der Schnittstelle von Wissenschaft, Politik, Wirtschaft, Medien und Zivilgesellschaft.

Voraussetzungen:

• Abgeschlossenes sozial- bzw. politikwissenschaftliches Hochschulstudium mit Schwerpunkt auf Politikwissenschaft, Internationale Beziehungen, Regionalstudien Ostmitteleuropa oder vergleichbarer Qualifikation;

Aufgaben:

• Erstellung von wissenschaftlichen und politikrelevanten Publikationen (Policy Paper) mit Schwerpunkt auf Polen und die Viségrad-Staaten: Innenpolitik, Verhältnis und Rolle in der EU und/oder mit Blick auf die Beziehungen zu den östlichen Nachbarstaaten der EU;
• Mitarbeit an programmübergreifenden Schwerpunktthemen
• Neukonzipierung, Planung und Nachbereitung der DGAP-Gesprächskreise zur Region sowie weiterer policy-relevanter Veranstaltungsformate;
• Teilnahme an Konferenzen, Tagungen u. ä.;
• Durchführung von Hintergrund- und Beratungsgesprächen;
• Medienarbeit (Interviews / Kommentierung).

Eine Weiterführung der Stelle über 2017 hinaus wird ebenso wie eine Aufstockung der Stelle auf 100% angestrebt.

Main responsibility: Contribute to theory development on radical right actors and empirical comparative research on the radical right in Central and Eastern Europe.

In particular: The focus of your research activities will be on country cases located in Central Europe and the Baltics - which represent two out of the three regions under study in the project. Further responsibilities are data collection on key variables of the project and analysis of legislative proposals and draft bills in the field of national minorities, migrants and refugees. Moreover, your tasks will entail the preparation and implementation of field work (interviews with key party, state and NGO figures) as well as archival research. It is expected that you are willing to write a PhD thesis within the framework of the project.

The Department of Political Science, School of Social Sciences and Philosophy is seeking to appoint an Assistant Professor in Political Science, to commence on 1 September 2017. The ability to teach courses in quantitative methods or research design at both undergraduate and postgraduate level is highly desirable. Those with an interest in comparative politics (any area), international relations, public policy or public opinion are particularly invited to apply. The ideal candidate will have an approach to research that complements the Department of Political Science’s existing strengths in comparative and institutional analysis. The Department of Politics, Philosophy and Religion at Lancaster University seeks to appoint a Lecturer 7/8 in US Politics and International Relations.

You are expected to have completed your PhD in an appropriate area, be research active and have excellent teaching abilities at both UG and PG levels and possess the relevant administrative skills. Candidates whose teaching and research is interdisciplinary are particularly encouraged.

In terms of teaching, you would be expected to contribute to departmental teaching in the area of US, Politics and International Relations and to develop new modules and possible joint degree schemes in their specialist area.

The Department of Government and International Studies (GIS) was established at Hong Kong Baptist University in 1994. It trains students to the different aspects of political science, with strong emphasis on international relations and comparative politics, and in European Studies, using a multi-disciplinary approach. It offers a BSocSc (Hons) in Government and International Studies, and another BSocSc (Hons) in European Studies which includes one year of studying abroad, with two language streams (French and German). GIS also contributes to teaching in the China Studies programme and the Master of Public Administration programme.

We are seeking Online Tutors with demonstrable knowledge of and experience teaching International Relations theory and Political Science Methodologies.

We seek to appoint a Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor (grade 9) in international politics with an emphasis on the politics and policy of the European Union. International Politics constitutes a core element of both our successful Masters Programme in International Conflict and Cooperation (ICC), our BA programmes in Politics and International Politics, and our professional doctorate in diplomacy. The appointee will contribute to both doctoral, Masters and undergraduate provisions and to our Centre for Policy, Conflict and Co-Operation Research. An ability to deliver the introductory module Introduction to International Politics (POLU9X3) at undergraduate level is essential. The appointee will also play a key role in delivering our ICC Masters and Doctor of Diplomacy programmes. A taught specialism in fields such as European Union politics and policymaking (preferably in the context of international politics), EU in the context of international organisations, and EU public policy – as well as its intersection with concepts such as gender, sexuality, and race – would be particularly welcome.

The Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals (IBEI) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position in International Relations. We are particularly interested in recruiting someone with a special interest in the area of international security or global governance. The successful candidate is expected to start in September 2017. A five-year contract will be offered. A performance review for tenure will normally be undertaken at the end of the fourth year, or potentially earlier for candidates who already have a strong publication record.
