The TEFL Online Handbook provides an overview of current and central aspects of foreign language learning and teaching. The various sections address questions such as skills and competencies, curricular development and directives, or characteristics of learners and learning environments. These topics and others are compiled and presented by students of the Institute for English and American Studies at Goethe University Frankfurt.

The brief introductions and video clips of each section and topic are complemented with questions and further reading suggestions. The TEFL Online Handbook is not an online course but an Open educational Resource for university students, teachers, or school students in order to prepare their exams, keep up-to-date with academic discourses, or serve as an orientation for their choice of university subjects.
