Das Leibniz-Institut Hessische Stiftung Friedens- und Konflikt­forschung ist eine Stiftung öffentlichen Rechts. Mit über 80 Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeitern ist die HSFK derzeit das größte deutsche Friedens- und Konfliktforschungs­­institut.

Für den Programm­bereich IV „Inner­staatliche Konflikte“ suchen wir zum nächst­möglichen Zeitpunkt eine/n wissenschaftliche/n Mitarbeiter/in als Doktorand/in in Teilzeit (50%), Entgeltgruppe 13 TV-H, für die Dauer von 3 Jahren (Befristung nach WissZVG).

Zum Aufgaben­spektrum zählen:

• Mitarbeit in der Forschung des Programm­bereichs, insbesondere zum Themen­bereich Inter­nationale Demokratie­­förderung
• Mitarbeit an der Entwicklung eines geplanten Projekts über inner­gesellschaftliche und inter­nationale Strategien im Umgang mit Einschränkungen zivilgesellschaftlicher Handlungs­­spielräume (Shrinking/Closing Space)
• Durch­­führung eines Promotions­projekts in besagtem Themen­bereich
• Beteiligung in den Gremien der HSFK-Selbst­verwaltung

Ihr Profil:

• Zur Promotion berechtigender Hochschul­abschluss in Politik­wissenschaft oder einer anderen Sozial­wissenschaft
• gute Kenntnisse qualitativer und/oder quantitativer sozial­wissenschaft­licher Methoden
• Forschungs­schwerpunkt/-interesse im Bereich der inter­nationalen Demokratie- und Menschenrechts­förderung und/oder in der Demokratie- und Demokratisierungsforschung
• Bereitschaft zu Feld­forschung und zu Forschung im Team
• Bereitschaft zur Vermittlung von Forschungs­ergebnissen an die politische und gesell­schaftliche Öffentlichkeit

Sehr gute mündliche und schriftliche Kenntnisse der englischen Sprache sowie den sicheren Umgang mit gängiger Büro­software setzen wir voraus. Gute Kenntnisse der deutschen Sprache sind wünschens­wert.

Die Kolleg-Forschergruppe „The Transformative Power of Europe“ plant ihre Abschlusskonferenz im Frühjahr (Juni) 2018 durchzuführen.

Aufgabengebiet: Für diese Großveranstaltung benötigen wir zwei studentische Mitarbeiter*innen, die sich deren organisatorischen Vorbereitung und Durchführung widmen. Dies umfasst die professionelle Kommunikation mit teilweise hochrangigen in- und ausländischen Gästen und ihrer Betreuung während der Veranstaltung, sowie die Kommunikation mit externen Dienstleistern, die Organisation des Rahmenprogramms und die Betreuung der Veranstaltung vor Ort.

Erwünscht: Organisationstalent, Kommunikations- und Teamfähigkeit, Zuverlässigkeit, eigenständige Arbeitsweise, hohe Serviceorientierung, sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse (muttersprachlich bzw. mind. C1), höfliche Umgangsformen, von Vorteil sind Erfahrungen in der Veranstaltungsorganisation und -betreuung, sicherer Umgang mit MS Office-Anwendungen, Internetrecherchen (Erfahrungen mit Webseitenbetreuung von Vorteil).

The position will be within the interdisciplinary research unit Migration, Integration, Transnationalization (MIT), headed by Prof. Ruud Koopmans. The unit’s current research focuses primarily on integration issues, studied from sociological, political science and social-psychological perspectives.

The position is full-time (currently 39 weekly hours), the contract will be initially for the duration of three years with the possibility of renewal for three more years. Starting date is flexible but not later than September 2018. Depending on the qualifications and experience of the candidate, an initial contract duration of more than three years may be possible.

The Department of Politics and International Relations at the University of Oxford is seeking to appoint a full-time Departmental Lecturer in Political Theory. Based in Oxford, this is a fixed-term appointment for 1 year commencing, 1 January 2018.

The appointee will provide teaching and research supervision for the Department of Politics and International Relations at the undergraduate and graduate level, while contributing to examining and admission processes and undertaking independent research in Political Theory (with a specialism in the History of Political Thought preferred).
